This gallery contains photos taken from rehearsals and concert during the Ponca City High School Chorale reunion in June of 2019.
It contains one short video of Mr. Moore's comments about the prior reunion. It will be the 3rd image in the gallery. Click on it to open and watch.
The reunion honored our beloved chorale director, Mr. Robert Moore.
The respect and love for Mr. Moore was evident during our high school days and continues to this day.
It was an honor to be able to photograph this event. It brought baOck many memories of earlier days.
My two older sisters, Mary and Carol, and myself, were all members of the chorale during our years at Po Hi.

If I may, I would like to make a personal comment and observation. I served for seven years as a photographer in the US Navy back in the 80's.
I had an experience in boot camp that I would like to share.
It was a warm, sunny San Diego afternoon. We were marching out on the black asphalt "grinder".
We had been drilling for weeks.
On this particular afternoon, for a brief period of time, I had the very strong sensation that our entire company was marching in perfect unison.
t was as if we were a flock of birds flying as one.
It was a feeling I will never forget.
I bring this up because I had the same feeling more than once back in high school as a member of the chorale during rehearsals and concerts.
Mr. Moore has that remarkable and rare ability to bring a group of singers into the "flock of birds magic” of purpose and focus.
That same feeling came over me several times while photographing this reunion.
Mr. Moore and the very talented and dedicated singers under his direction still have that "magic".

I hope you enjoy seeing these images from the 2019 Chorale Reunion!
